31 Ways in 31 Days to Celebrate Latine Children, Youth, and Families 

From September 15th to October 15th, our nation celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month to observe and recognize our Latine* culture and the milestones and contributions of our community. The observation originated as a week-long celebration and was later extended by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to be celebrated over a full month. Rightfully so, as our U.S. Hispanic population reached 62.1 million in 2020, accounting for 19% of all Americans and making our community the nation’s second largest ethnic group, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Centering Racial Equity in Collaboration Survey

Collaboration is a fundamental strategy to accomplish a common purpose. It is not an end to itself, but instead a strategy to achieve goals and positive outcomes. This strategy, however, will be ineffective if it does not assess variables such as barriers to community-led participation, structural oppression, and cultural humility. The Centering Racial Equity in Collaboration survey provides a way to identify the strengths and challenges to achieving goals and project outcomes of your collaboration in ways that account for and challenge unexamined systems of power that perpetuate inequity.
